IPF National Club Panel Competition

2015 entry

Every year all IPF registered clubs are invited to  submit an  entry to this prestigous competition.  The CCC commitee meet  several weeks in advance to pick two panels  of ten images. One in colour and one in monochrome,  the images are taken from all the club in-house competition entries collected over the previous year. This is the main  source used for all CCC external competition entries.
We rely heavily on members to enter as many competitions at the club as possible throughout the season. If entry numbers are low, then the committee's choice is limited for picking a panel. So please keep in mind that your competition entries are not just for you on the night, but they have a wider use  for the club at national level.
Whether you are a professional or a beginner your Club needs  your work.

This year's entries (panels below) look vibrant and technically
competent, but, alas, they scored very low. In fact we came about second last overall. The best colour image was 'Girl in Blue' - a natural light portrait, and the best monochrome image was 'Baby's Chair'  - a studio portrait.  The comments from Judges were not very helpful, so not worth repeating here.
On a hopeful note, I do see great potential for the coming year. Without tempting fate,  I can say that we can't fall much further and so we have everything to gain.  This year the committee will be redoubling its efforts to make sure we have the best  facilities, education and guest speakers  possible.
