IPF National Club Championships 18 + 19 May 2024.
The Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) is the umbrella body for Camera Clubs and Photographic Societies in the Republic of Ireland. It organises various competitions and administers the awarding of the Distinctions of Licentiateship, Associateship and Fellowship, depending on applicants level of competency.
One of the National Competitions it organizes is the National Club Championships, where affiliated clubs and societies may submit a panel of 10 Monochrome Prints and a panel of 10 Colour Prints which are judged by highly qualified judges, often from overseas. This year the Competition was held over the weekend of 18 + 19 May in Mullingar.
Our Club’s Committee selected images from our Members and submitted a panel in both Mono Prints and Colour Prints, which can bee seen below.
We scored quite well, and were placed 15th out of 25 clubs which entered.
Well done to everyone involved, the photographers whose images were used, and the Committee who arranged the printing and mounting of the prints, as well as physically hanging the images on the Saturday and Sunday mornings, and removing them in the afternoons.
